Based on the understanding that birth is a normal process, and supported by both contemporary science and ancient wisdom, Calmbirth® supports pregnant women and couples to access their own inner resources, offering knowledge, understanding, and relaxation, breathing, fear-release and connection techniques and practices.

Calmbirth® explores the physiology and psychology of birth - how the uterus, the birthing body, and the nervous and hormonal communication systems work to facilitate birth safely.

In Calmbirth® we discover  how beliefs, thoughts and emotions affect birth by influencing a woman’s physiology, blood flow and hormones. We explore knowledge and  techniques to maximise the wonderful potential of pregnancy and birth for positive neural and relational change.

Calmbirth® also increases awareness of the existing relationship and communication between parents and their unborn child.  Calmbirth® supports parents to consciously connect with their unborn child, helping to lay foundations for lifelong health and capacity to give and receive love.

I am blessed to have shared Calmbirth®, a  thorough, comprehensive and successful Antenatal program to hundreds of mums and couples over the last 20 years.

I share Calmbirth® privately or in small groups, in a series of four three-hour sessions, held in my studio in Byron Bay.

Sessions are arranged to meet your needs, and spaced out over a weekend, a couple of weeks, or to suit your availability, maximising learning and assimilation and providing plenty of opportunities for questions.

Between 24 - 34 weeks pregnancy is an ideal time to begin Calmbirth®.

Putting Calmbirth® breathing and relaxation into practice for some weeks before birth, you are prepared to maintain a relaxed, focused state of calm in labour, enabling birth to unfold with safety, love and joy.
